Category:Images of signs

There is another category called Category:Images of logos, crests and insignias - ƃuıuɹoɥʇ^{(Send me an owl)} 15:07, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

Category:Historical figures

This category is, to me, too vague. What, exactly, constitutes a "historical figure"? By the very definition of history, everyone is a historical figure. If the category means "everyone who lived a long time before the 1900s", well, that's a lot of people, and isn't really category-worthy. At the very least, if it's to be kept (which, to be clear, I don't support), it needs renaming. -- 1337star ^{(Drop me a line!)} 04:33, November 20, 2013 (UTC)

First, I agree with the name. Second, I agree to keep this category. In my understanding, "Historical Figures" are that characters who had an important participation (something great he has done) in the magical world and maybe in the muggle's too, within the Harry Potter series. For example: In the real world, Abraham Lincoln is a "Historical Figure" in the United States of America. I think it has nothing to do with "history" or a "long lifetime". Andre G. Category:Living people as of 2017

Do we need this category? Our categories, just like almost everything else on this wiki, are supposed to be in-universe, and this category simply doesn't respect the feel of that. 2017 is just an arbitrary date in the wizarding world; it's only important in the sense of the series because its when the epilogue takes place, and is thus one of the latest known events in the series (only the vague "200 years after Book of Spells was published" setting of Wonderbook: Book of Spells is later). It also gives a false impression; there are probably many more characters still alive by the epilogue than would ever be explicitly listed.
