I created this because i have many friends that are Harry Potter Fans and they always asked me how a horcrux is made and what might the proper incantation and the possible ritual. I did a 2 hour research on the incantation alone and a 2 1/2 hour explanaion on how a horcrux may be created. I would appreciate it very much if you would not delete my article because it's not as rediculous as "Homer Simpson" article that I noticed.

I have many Harry Potter Fans for friends and they always ask me if I know how a Horcrux is made? So I researched on the internet and what the words for tear apart and soul were as you can see in the title. this page will explain to my friends what the possible incantation and ritual is needed to create a horcrux. Information on this wiki needs to come from official, verifiable sources. It doesn't matter if it's researched or well-reasoned, information created by fans is considered fanon and is not allowed. There is a Harry Potter Fanon Wiki where fans are freely able to make their own contributions to the Harry Potter universe, but this wiki must have official sources. As for the "Homer Simpson" article, that was an act of vandalism, and was deleted weeks ago. - Nick O'Demus 07:12, November 27, 2009 (UTC)

J.K. Rowling (witch)

This article is pieced together from scraps of evidence that do not support its bizarre assertion that a real person is also a fictional character. The text in the blue section of the Wizards' Book spine is too small to read clearly, and as for JKR signing her name at the end of the introduction to The Tales of Beedle the Bard, it's common practice for authors to do this, and it is in no way intended to indicate that JKR is also a character in the universe she has created.

I have searched this in all notes by JKR and haven't find it. 2 mentions about "Muggle-born" : "2 [A Squib is a person born to magical parents, but who has no magical powers. Such an occurrence is rare. Muggle-born witches and wizards are much more common. JKR] p16 (below, note 3 is by Dumbledore, he defined himself as a brillant wizard (it's not a note JKR) and "So-called pure-blood families maintain their alleged purity by disowning, banishing or lying about Muggles or Muggle-borns on their family trees." p10. [edit conflict] The annotations are mostly written by Dumbledore. The ones written by JKR are in square brackets and are signed with her initials at the end. I went through her annotations, and although she does mention Muggle-borns when defining what a Squib is ("Muggle-born witches and wizards are much more common") in the Hopping Pot notes, she never states that she's one herself. Directly under this annotation by JKR, however, is one by Dumbledore, which states "such as myself" in response to the statement in the main text that "some of the world's most brilliant wizards were, to use the common phrase, 'Muggle-lovers." Dumbledore also mentions Lucius Malfoy making "opprobrious remarks" about his "sanity, parentage, and hygience' " in an annotation in the notes for the Fountain of Fair Fortune. ★ Starstuff (Owl me!) 21:24, December 31, 2009 (UTC)

It's usual that page titles contain author's name, it seems to me really weird to consider that this could mean an in-universe fact. The name of Rowling appears for Beedle and editions 2009 of Quidditch and Fantastic beasts. But on the 2 last books, there's also in foreign editions the name of the real translator. If you consider an in-universe fact for Rowling, it would be the same fact for all translators in foreign languages... (j'ajoute un commentaire en français : ça va être le bazar)

It does not bother me that this page remains on the wiki or is erased. But as someone who worked in a library, I just want to indicate that the purpose of the title page is to present real information. This one (the same for the 2 other books I quoted) presents information in-universe but this does not change the purpose and does not mean that all informations are fictitious data. Nothing in any way in the introduction does (even taking it strictly for the purpose in-universe) that this supposedly fictional Rowling is a witch. To have an entire page about that is irrelevant, it's purely anecdotal and a "behind the scene" in the article about Rowling may be good enough. For Quidditch book, there's written Hogwarts, Wisp, Whizzhard books, all theses datas are in-universe. But there's also Rowling and for the french edition Jean-François Ménard, if there's a page for a "Rowling in-universe", there's must be a page for a "Ménard in-universe" and so on for foreign countries. When Rowling says that "[the] laughter had not quite died from his face ", she is not stating that he was still laughing; she is saying that his facial expression was frozen. Actually, the books say nothing about homosexuality and attitudes towards it, the whole article looks like pure speculation and original research. A single character outed by Rowling is not enough to establish notability. Fo01 08:55, April 14, 2010 (UTC)

The current statistic estimates 5 to 10% of the population is Lesbian, Gay or Bisexual, hence it would be assumed the wizarding population would mirror this. Why would a page relevant to 5 to 10% of the wizarding population be removed? That's 14 to 28 LGB, students in Hogwarts at any one time (If the current pattern of 40 students per year occurs).
