The Carpe Retractum spellbook was a book that contained information and instruction on the performing of the Carpe Retractum charm and many other spells. One copy was owned by Professor Filius Flitwick, Charms Master of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, who used it in his Charms classes. He tasked his students, in groups of three, to each retrieve the spellbook from what was, somewhat, an obstacle course, and bring it back to the classroom^[1].
