This spell was used by the staff at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to bewitch suits of armour so that they sang Christmas carols whenever someone walked past during the Christmas season in 1994. However, the spell did not always function well, as, on at least one occasion, a suit of armour was heard attempting to sing "Oh Come, All Ye Faithful" when it knew only half the lyrics. Peeves took to hiding inside the enchanted armour, filling in the gaps in the lyrics with his own crude additions, until he was found and removed by Argus Filch. The incantation is Demento Ornatus.
