The Broomstick Servicing Kit comes in a black leather case with silver lettering. It contains a large jar of Fleetwood's High-Finish Handle Polish, a pair of silver Tail-Twig Clippers, a brass clip-on compass, and a Handbook of Do-It-Yourself Broomcare.
Hermione Granger gave Harry Potter one of these kits for his thirteenth birthday. Because Hermione was on holiday in France at the time, she was unsure how she was going to mail it to him; she feared what might happen if it was opened at customs. Hedwig turned up, so in the end she was able to send it with her instead.
