This jinx was used to cause Harry Potter's broomstick to malfunction so that it began attempting to buck him off of it.
In 1991 Quirinus Quirrell used this spell to prevent Harry Potter from winning the Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Slytherin, but also trying to kill him. However it was interupted by Severus Snape's counter-Jinx.
