A Broom Compass is a broomstick accessory that helps the owner find their direction. They can be clipped onto broomsticks for long journeys.
The Broomstick Servicing Kit Hermione Granger gave Harry Potter for his thirteenth birthday included a small brass broom compass.[1] Harry Potter gave one such compass to Ron Weasley in 1995 as a Christmas present. Ron described it as "excellent".[2]
