- "Good haul this year. Thanks for the Broom Compass, it's excellent; beats Hermione's — she got me a homework planner."
- — Ronald Weasley on his Christmas presents[src]
A Broom Compass was a broomstick accessory that helped the rider find the direction they were travelling in. They could be clipped onto broomsticks for long journeys and were made of brass.[1]
The Broomstick Servicing Kit Hermione Granger gave Harry Potter for his thirteenth birthday included a small brass broom compass.[2] Harry Potter gave one such compass to Ron Weasley in 1995 as a Christmas present. Ron described it as "excellent".[3]
