The British and Irish Quidditch League Headquarters is a division part of the Department of Magical Games and Sports on Level 7 of the Ministry of Magic. The British and Irish Quidditch League falls under the authority of the division. In 1995, the division seemed untidy and laid back, with posters of the favourite Quidditch teams of employees displayed on the wall. The division was probably founded around 1674, as that was the year the League was founded. [1]

The head of the division and the entire department was Ludo Bagman, until 1995 when he was forced to flee from goblins after losing several bets.

Work

Known work

  • The British and Irish Quidditch League falls under the authority of this division. The division organizes the annual competition, arranging the matches and the players who participate.
  • The division banned Appleby Arrows supporters firing arrows into the air with their wands in 1894, when referee Nugent Potts was pierced through the nose with one.

Possible work

  • As to maintain anti-Muggle security, it was probably this division that decided that it was best to have only thirteen teams playing in the League, and probably dismissed the others.
  • It was probably this division that suspended the Falmouth Falcons Beaters, Kevin and Karl Broadmoor, fourteen times between 1958 and 1969 for their overly violent behaviour.
