The Medieval Assembly of European Wizards

Gilderoy Lockhart's Award

The Bravery Against Fantastic Beasts Award was an award given by the Medieval Assembly of European Wizards to those witches or warlocks who had engaged in dangerous combat against aggressive or otherwise potentially harmful magical beasts.[1]

Professor Gilderoy Lockhart was awarded one such award, presumably in the 1980s, during the height of his fame after his series of autobiographical novels detailing his active work in Defence Against the Dark Arts.[1]

In 1921, Martino Frolic also received this award.[2]
