Borage is a herb native to most of the Mediterranean region, as well as Asia Minor, Europe, North Africa, and South America. Its flowers are perfect with five narrow, triangular-pointed petals. Flowers are most often blue in colour, although pink flowers are sometimes examined.^[1]

Borage had magical properties and was most likely used in potion-making; one could acquire some of this herb at Mr. Mulpepper's Apothecary, in Diagon Alley.^[2]
