This unidentified bookseller worked at Flourish and Blotts. He disliked having to stock The Monster Book of Monsters, and swore that it was never going to be sold in his store again. He claimed that it was worse than the time he bought two hundred copies of The Invisible Book of Invisibility, which cost a fortune though he was unable to find them.
He almost cried in late 1993 when Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger said they wanted two copies of The Monster Book of Monsters, but was relieved when Harry Potter noted that he already had a copy.
