Bodmin Moor is a granite moorland in northeastern Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is 208 square kilometres (80 sq mi) in size, and originally dates from the Carboniferous period of geological history.^[1]

Bodmin Moor is a historical farming region, that also at one time held a Quidditch stadium. There was a famous match here in 1884, in which a Snitch escaped after eluding capture by the Seekers for six months of play. The Snitch is said to be living wild on the moor still.
