"You can laugh, but people used to believe that there are no such things as the Blibbering Humdinger or the Crumple-Horned Snorkack."
— Luna Lovegood[src]

The Blibbering Humdinger is one of the many strange creatures that Luna Lovegood believed to exist. It is possible that, like Crumple-Horned Snorkacks, they may not actually be real.

Luna first mentioned the Blibbering Humdinger in Harry's Fifth year to Lavender Brown and Parvati Patil who were laughing at her earrings. At the end of the Second Wizarding War, in order to give Harry some peace, she distracted everyone in the Great Hall by pretending to see one of these creatures.
