Blatching is common a Quidditch foul that consists of flying towards another player with deliberate intention to collide with him or her. This foul can be committed by all players. In the final of the 1994 Quidditch World Cup, Vasily Dimitrov flew directly towards Moran and almost knocked her off her broom; the referee, Hassan Mostafa, awarded the Irish team a penalty. In a Quidditch match in 1996, Harper, the Substitute Slytherin Seeker, uses this foul when he collides into Harry. However, as Rolanda Hooch, the referee, did not see him do this and Slytherin was not given a penalty.
