"Are you a wizard, or what?"

This spell (incantation unknown) released a burst of blue light, which caused a huge explosion that ravaged and devastated everything in its range. Additionally, it could be used to smash windows.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- In the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Bellatrix Lestrange uses this spell in the Great Hall in her insane celebratory outburst after the death of Albus Dumbledore in 1997. The force of the spell shattered the hall's windows and extinguished the floating candles, though the House Point hourglasses were unaffected. However, since Bellatrix does not feature in the battle in the novel, this cannot be considered canon.[1]
- This unidentified spell may be another explosive/destructive spell, such as the Expulso Curse, Blasting Curse, Reductor Curse, or the Bombardment Spell given their similar effects.
- It may be related to, or the same spell as, the one Voldemort used a year later to begin the Battle of Hogwarts.
