Barry Ryan was the keeper for the Irish National Quidditch team during the 1994 Quidditch World Cup. He was one of the team members that Harry Potter got to see in the Top Box during the 1994 Quidditch World Cup.
After the World Cup, Ryan did a spectacular save with his boot against Poland's top Chaser, which was accidentally copied by Ron Weasley in his fifth year at Hogwarts.
As of 2014, Barry Ryan did not play for the Irish National Quidditch team any more.[1]
