There was a bakery in Surrey. Located across the road from Grunnings' main offices, Vernon Dursley went into this bakery for a doughnut on 1 November, 1981, after a long morning of unusual events and yelling at other people at work. Just outside the bakery there was a discussion among several people in long cloaks who mentioned the names "Potter" and "Harry".[1]
