- " [Morfin Gaunt] is buried beside the prison, alongside the other poor souls who have expired within its walls."
- — Albus Dumbledore to Harry Potter.[src]
This burial ground is the site of burial for inmates of the wizarding prison Azkaban who died while serving time within its walls.
Percival Dumbledore died in Azkaban.[1] It is unknown whether he is buried there, or if his family decided to have him buried someplace else, although he was not on the family plot at Godric's Hollow. According to Albus Dumbledore, Morfin Gaunt was buried there, when in prison for false charges.[2] Sirius Black witnessed the burial of "Bartemius Crouch Jr" (actually his mother under disguise).[3]
