Rodolphus Lestrange,Rabastan Lestrange,Bellatrix Lestrange, and Bartemius Crouch Jr. tortured Frank and Alice Longbottom with the Cruciatus Curse for information during 1981.They were all sent to Azkaban for the crime. Rodolphus,Rabastan, and Bellatrix escaped 14 years later.Barty was smuggled out of Azkaban by his father during 1981 or 1982 . His mother was already dying. His mother took some of his hair and was put in Azkaban because she was already dying.Barty also took some of his mother's hair. Frank and Alice were moved to St.Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. They were unaware that they even had a son.
