Archipelago Ridiculus was a chain of islands in or near the Maris Cristallus. This archipelago was supposedly explored by Gilderoy Lockhart and said "adventure" was covered in Travels with Trolls. This expedition was, however a feat stolen by Lockhart from another wizard, which memory was erased. Archipelago Ridiculus was included on the map featured on the cover of Travels with Trolls.

• Riddikulus was a spell, used to defeat Boggarts. It was possible that the archipelago's name has a correlation with the discovery/development of said charm.
