Arabella Figg is the neighbour of Harry Potter's relatives, the Dursleys, a Squib, and a member of the Order of the Phoenix. She used to babysit Harry when he was younger. She has four cats.
In 1995, when Harry and his cousin Dudley were attacked by Dementors in Little Whinging, Figg tracked them and brought them to the safety of her house, where it was revealed that she was not a Muggle, but a Squib (a wizard who has no magical abilities), and, moreover, a member of the Order of the Phoenix. She had been placed in the area by Albus Dumbledore, and had been watching over Harry ever since he was brought there.
The tent that the Weasleys borrowed for the 1994 Quidditch World Cup smelled like Ms. Figg's house.
