This may possibly be the home of the Quidditch team, the Appleby Arrows, although the town of Appleby-in-Westmorland, which now lies in western Cumbria, is a more likely candidate. Their main rivals in the British and Irish Quidditch League, are called the Wimbourne Wasps.
