Appleby is a small village in North Lincolnshire, England. It lies about 5 km to the north-east of Scunthorpe. Appleby population in the 2001 census returns is shown as 597.[1]
This may possibly be the home of the Quidditch team, the Appleby Arrows, although the town of Appleby-in-Westmorland, which now lies in western Cumbria, is a more likely candidate.
