Andrew Kirke was a Beater on the Gryffindor Quidditch team, along with Jack Sloper, in Harry's fifth year. He takes over for Fred and George Weasley when they are given a life-long ban by Dolores Umbridge. Both he and Sloper are described as relatively incompetent.
Behind the scenes
Andrew Kirke's name is possibly derived from The Chronicles of Narnia book The Magician's Nephew, which features a main character named Diggory Kirke with a maternal uncle named Andrew with an unmentioned surname.
