Amanda Pettet was a Muggle reporter who co-wrote a front-page article with Robert Bliss about the heat wave that swept over Great Britain for the Daily Express in the summer of 1995.[2]

- This character was presumably named after Amanda Pettett, who worked as a production assistant on the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and as a construction coordinator on all seven Harry Potter films released thereafter.[3] Whether the spelling of her surname was altered intentionally or as a result of a typographical error is unknown.
