Elise was a Hufflepuff student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the 1990s. After viewing an abridged memory of Horace Slughorn's in Albus Dumbledore's Pensieve, Harry Potter went to find Slughorn, in order to try to get the true version of the memory. At the time, Slughorn was teaching a Potions class, which included Elise. The lesson finished just as Harry Potter entered the classroom. As Elise was clearing out with the other students, Slughorn called to her, and reminded her to take the rat tail she'd left behind on the desk.
