The All-England Best-Kept Lawn competition is a fictitious competition created by Nymphadora Tonks. In the summer of 1995, Vernon Dursley received a letter telling him he was a finalist for the All-England Best-Kept Lawn competition. This was actually a ruse to get the Dursleys out of the house so that the Advance Guard could come and take Harry Potter safely to 12 Grimmauld Place.

Harry amused himself by imagining Vernon's reaction once he realised that there was no such competition.
