Alice was a witch who attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Biography
Alice was born in either Great Britain or Ireland, sometime in 1980, to a wizarding family of unknown blood status. On 1 September, 1991, she began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, standing close behind Neville Longbottom whilst Professor Minerva McGonagall explained the rules of the school. She was sorted into Hufflepuff House but did not share a dormitory with the other girls.
Etymology
From German name Adalheidis, which became popular in France and England in the early twelfth century[1].
Behind the scenes
- Alice is portrayed by British actress Gemma Sandzer in the film adaption of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.[2]
- During the Potions class scene, there is a Hufflepuff girl that looks like Alice, which indicates that she was sorted into that house.
