Albus Dumbledore's file is a file kept by the Ministry of Magic while it was under Lord Voldemort's control in 1997. It was kept on Dolores Umbridge's office.

The document listed Albus' blood status, the status of his family, and his security status. Because he died in the service of the Order of the Phoenix his picture had a giant red X crossed over it.

BLOOD STATUS: Half-blood. Known member of the Order of the Phoenix.

FAMILY: Son of Percival and Kendra Dumbledore, and elder brother of Aberforth and Ariana. Father died in Azkaban.

SECURITY STATUS: TRACKED. All movements are being monitored. Strong likelihood Undesirable No. 1 will contact.

Behind the scenesEdit

• The file lists Dumbledore as being "tracked," seemingly odd as there would be no need to track the movements of someone who was deceased. However, as these papers most likely existed from 1995 when Dolores Umbridge doubted Dumbledore's mental state it may have been written from that point.
• The section on Dumbledore's file for scars and other marks is blank, despite him having at least one distinctive scar: one on his knee that forms a perfect map of the London Underground. However, it is possible that the Ministry was not aware of this scar or merely felt it was not relevant enough to his overall appearance to be worth listing.
