Alberto Macellarius, also known by the nickname The Rat, was an American wizarding criminal who operated in the 1920s.[1]
Biography[]
The New York Ghost published a wanted poster from MACUSA stating that Macellarius was wanted for "counterfeiting wands" and murder, and that they were offering a reward of 3,500 dragots for information leading to his capture.[1]
Etymology[]
Macellarius is a Latin word meaning "butcher" or "meat seller," from the Latin word macellum, meaning "provision market."[2]
