[edit] Biography
[edit] Working for the Ministry of Magic
During Pius Thicknesse's administration of the Ministry of Magic, Runcorn informed on Muggle-borns to the Ministry of Magic, subsequently leading to their arrest and imprisonment. In 1997, Harry Potter impersonated Runcorn when he, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley infiltrated the Ministry. The Polyjuice Potion used to achieve this impersonation was made with Runcorn's hair, obtained in the commotion caused when Runcorn ate a Nosebleed Nougat. The real Runcorn went home with an uncontrollable nosebleed, while Harry became a fake Runcorn and used the disguise to gain access to the Ministry. Once in the ministry Harry disguised as Runcorn helped Mary and Reginald Cattermole escape with their children, with the assistance of Hermione Granger (disguised as Mafalda Hopkirk) and Ron Weasley (disguised as Reginald Cattermole) which confused the real Reginald immensely.
[edit] Physical appearance
Runcorn is described as a very tall more than 6 foot and very intimmidating to the likes of Reginald Cattermole, as well as a muscular man with a gravelly voice. He also has a black beard.
[edit] Behind the scenes
- Except for mentions by other characters, the real Runcorn never appears in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
- Harry Potter (diguised as Albert Runcorn) will be portrayed by Scottish actor David O'Hara for the film adaptations of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows[1]
