"Thus far, no political group has stepped forward to claim responsibility for the attack, though both Spanish Liberation group ETA and Islamic Fundamentalist Cell Al-Hiraza have been implicated."
Jamie Wolpert, "Bridge disaster hits London" in The Guardian (July, 1996).[src]

Al-Hiraza was an Islamic fundamentalist cell and terrorist organisation in operation by July of 1996. They were, apparently, enemies of Great Britain and reasonably large and organised enough to plan the destruction of a large structure in a major metropolitan area in broad daylight, as they were considered top suspects in the destruction of the Millennium Bridge.[1] In actuality, however, this disaster was caused by a group of Death Eaters led by the werewolf Fenrir Greyback.

Behind the scenesEdit

  • Oddly, despite real terrorist organisation ETA being mentioned in the same sentence, Al-Hiraza is not the name of a real Islamic fundamentalist group, or at least not a well known one.

AppearancesEdit
