This witch was in Knockturn Alley on the day Harry Potter ended up there accidentally in 1992. Described as an "aged" woman with "mossy teeth,"
She carried a tray of what appeared to be whole human fingernails, and leered at Harry, asking if he was lost. Frightened, Harry replied that he was okay, at which point Rubeus Hagrid arrived, startling the witch and causing her fingernails to spill all over the ground. Hagrid pulled Harry away from the witch, and she shrieked after them as they made their way out of Knockturn Alley.
