Abyssinia is a historical name for Ethiopia, and the home of the Abyssinian Shrivelfig
The Tebo is native to Congo and Zaire.
Mauritius is a small island to the east of Madagascar, famous to Muggles and wizards for being the home of the Diricawl, or Dodo, as Muggles called it.
The Erumpent, Nundu, Fwooper, Runespoor and Streeler are all native to Africa.

Ethiopia is a Quidditch proud nation thanks to its team in Gimbi, the Gimbi Giant-Slayers, a Quidditch team that has won the All-Africa Cup twice.
It has been known for Quidditch Referees to turn up in the Sahara Desert. (This is because Quidditch players turned their brooms into portkeys.)
Sumbawanga is a city in Tanzania, and is the home of the Sumbawanga Sunrays, a popular Quidditch team known for its famous formation looping.
Tchamba is a small city in centre of Togo, home to the Tchamba Charmers, the "masters of the reverse pass."
Uganda is the premier Quidditch Playing nation in Africa, and its prominent team, the Patonga Proudsticks competed in the recent Quidditch World Cup.

Burkina Faso is a small country in western Africa. It has its own Ministry of Magic, and the Runespoor is native to this country. Gilderoy Lockhart supposedly stopped a series of attacks in its capital Ouagadougou.
Egypt is the earliest place where magic is recorded. It was integrated into society and wizards were held in esteem. Egyptian wizards put curses on Tombs, which Curse Breakers for Gringotts try to break. Ron Weasley's brother, Bill worked there as a Curse Breaker for Gringotts Bank before taking a desk job in London. The Weasley family visited him while he was there, and toured the Pyramids. Phoenixes and Sphinxes are native to Egypt. Hassan Mostafa, the referee for the final of the 1994 Quidditch World Cup, was from Egypt. That is also where Scabbers was photographed for a newspaper on that same tour, leading to Sirius Black's escape, and upon learning of the escape he begins to look ill.
