Aeaea (pronounced "ee-ee-ah") is an island in Greece. In ancient times, it was the home of Circe, a witch who turned sailors into pigs.
Behind the scenes
- The island of Aeaea is a mythical setting in the Odyssey by the ancient Greek poet Homer and is not known to correspond to any real location.[1] In the Harry Potter universe, it is located off the coast of Greece, as Circe is described as "Ancient Greek" on her Famous Wizard Card.[2]
