This was a charm used by Aberforth Dumbledore to keep a goat's "horns curly and clean"[2]. He was prosecuted because the charms were considered inappropriate, and the incident was reported in a number of newspapers, although Aberforth was unperturbed - perhaps because he could not read[1].

Behind the scenesEdit

  • It is unknown precisely what was inappropriate about keeping a goat's horns "curly and clean", although J. K. Rowling stated that "That's a joke that works on a couple of levels" and later that Aberforth had a "strange fondness for goats", perhaps implying something a bit more going on[2].
