A Study of Recent Developments in Wizardry was a book kept in the Hogwarts Library as of 1991. Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger unsuccessfully used the book as research material while looking for information on Nicolas Flamel.[1] After discovering Flamel was more than six hundreds years old, Ron Weasley commented that it was no wonder they failed to find him in a book with such a title, since he was born in the Middle Ages.[2]
