• 1991: Hedwig delivers her first message to Harry Potter: an invitation to visit Rubeus Hagrid that afternoon. In the morning, the First years have their first Potions class with Professor Snape; Harry gets on Snape's bad side and loses two points from Gryffindor. Harry Potter and Ron Weasley have tea with Hagrid at three o'clock; while having tea they read a copy of the Daily Prophet concerning the break-in at Gringotts that had taken place the same day that Harry and Hagrid had visited Diagon Alley.
• 1995: Harry has detention with Dolores Umbridge. The Quidditch Keeper Tryouts take place during his detention and Ron gets the place.
