679 West 24th Street was a brownstone house on West 24th Street in New York City that was owned by Mrs Esposito. While Mrs Esposito lived on the main floor, in 1926 she was renting out an apartment on the second floor to two sisters, Tina and Queenie Goldstein. The sisters were forbidden from bringing home male guests by Mrs Esposito. However, on the night of 6 December 1926, Tina snuck Newt Scamander and Jacob Kowalski up to her apartment because they needed somewhere to hide.
The interior of the Goldstein apartment consists of a sitting room with a fireplace, an iron, a clotheshorse, dress maker's dummy, sofa and assorted magazines scattered about. There is also a kitchen with a table, chairs and cupboards stocked with 'the components of a meal' and containing assorted dishes and cutlery. There is a bedroom with 'neatly made twin beds' for guests and at least one other bed room for the use of the Goldstein sisters.
