- 1992: The final day of first year exams, the last one being History of Magic. In the evening, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger follow Quirinus Quirrell through the trapdoor in the Forbidden Corridor, which leads them into a series of Underground Chambers with obstacles to get to the Philosopher's Stone. Harry Potter learns Lord Voldemort lives within Quirrell and seeks the Philosopher's Stone in order to create a new body. While Harry successfully kills Quirrell, and seemingly defeats Voldemort, his victory is cut short as Voldemort exits the physical world as a flying entity, flying through Harry and knocking him out with the Stone in his hand as a final act of revenge.
