- June, 1999 - Ginny Weasley and Luna Lovegood probably leave Hogwarts at this time. Hermione Granger also would have graduated from Hogwarts during this time because her seventh and final year was delayed by the quest for the Horcruxes and the situation at Hogwarts during the 1997-1998 school term. Hermione also took her N.E.W.T.s at this time.
- Late '90s or early '00s - Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley are married.
- Late '90s or early '00s - Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger are married.
- Late '90s or early '00s - Draco Malfoy is married to Astoria Greengrass.
- Late '90s or early '00s - Luna Lovegood marries a fellow naturalist named Rolf Scamander, grandson of Newt Scamander
- Late '90s or early '00s - Neville Longbottom marries classmate and fellow D.A. member Hannah Abbott.
- Late '90s or early '00s - Cho Chang marries a Muggle man.
- Late '90s-'10s - Ron Weasley leaves Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes to work as an Auror
- Late '90s-'10s - Hermione Granger transfers from the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement
- Late '90s-'10s - Ginny Weasley retires from playing Quidditch for the Holyhead Harpies to work for the Daily Prophet
- 2007 - Harry Potter becomes head of the Auror Department.
- September 1, 2009 - Teddy Lupin starts his education at Hogwarts.

- April 20,1999, Columbine High School Massacre, Littleton, Colorado, USA . Two high school students kill 12 student and a teacher, then two students killed themselves and more than 20 people injured
- The Second World Trade Center Bombing, which started the events of September 11th, also known as 9/11. A plane crashes in Pensylvannia, another in the Pentagon in Washington D.C., and two planes crash into both of the Twin Towers which causes the towers to collapse.
- The events of September 11th starts the War Against Terror or War On Terrorism.
- February 2003, American Space Shuttle Columbia destroyed during re-entry heading for a landing in Florida. Crew was lost.
- The remaining Harry Potter books are published and film versions are released by Warner Brothers.
- London bombings, also called the 7/7 bombings, The Terriorist bomb killed 52 people and over 700 people injured by four suicide bomber during morning rush hour.
- Second Gulf War
- April 16, 2007, A gunman killed 32 people at Virginia Tech University. Then the gunman killed himself
